We’re happy to share with you that our decorator, Kristen Kruse, attended this year’s International Window Covering Expo (IWCE) in Raleigh, North Carolina. And, we were there with her virtually as she attended trade seminars and visited vendor showcases.
The IWCE is the premier annual trade show and educational conference for the window covering and interior design industry, which was held in Raleigh, North Carolina.

A little bit about Kristen: She joined our Knight’s team in 2024 and has quickly become an integral part of our window covering and flooring workforce. We find that her enthusiasm for fresh ideas in today’s fashion is contagious. Outside of work, Kristen is very busy with her young family, kids’ sports, and her faith-based life with her husband, Pastor Garrett, at the Legacy Church.

Sales strategist, Kathy Pace, led a blueprint for confident sales conversations. With Kathy’s guidance in window treatment and interior design sales, Kristen learned that building that trust and confidence with her customer base is of the utmost importance.
Color Alchemy by Elle Cole
Do you have a fear of what colors to use in your home or office? This course was a unique walk-through of color palettes and using a blend of those colors through layers within the interior.
Color schemes for the year are Oxblood, deep browns, mossy & olive greens, muted & muddy pastels, along with cosmic blues. Choosing colors in nature and inviting them into your interior is always a good rule of thumb to follow.
Window Treatments, Demystified
Is there a mystery to draperies? Some of our customers may think so. The way the treatment comes together, how they’re made, placement, and installation all factor into a finished window treatment that, when done right, will last for years. The seminar was presented by Vita Vygovska, and focused on the basics of fabrics and fabrication. Kristen is excited to use these tips in her upcoming drapery projects.
